Icmeler things to Do

Also have in mind that in  nearby Marmaris  you may find  an other shopping paradise , especially in the fascinating covered bazaar of the old town. Everyone loves a bargain so try shopping at the covered bazaar market in Marmaris for your souvenirs, leather goods and clothes. Otherwise visit the outdoor market in Icmeler (Tuesdays) and Turunc (Mondays). Be aware that you will find   a variety of excellent buys in Turkey, try Marmaris Bazaar  where the best buys are designer clothing, towels, leather goods, copper and brass ware, carved onyx and jewellery. For that special gift, hand made items are an excellent buy such as Turkish carpets, crochet tablecloths and mats or the locally produced pine-scented honey. If you are thinking of buying a carpet why not come along on our village tour and see the carpets being made when you will have the opportunity to purchase a quality carpet at co-operative prices.

Restaurants
Icmeler is well-supplied with restaurants of all kinds , but it is your best bet to enjoy enjoy the  local specialities like Guvec, a clay-pot casserole, or tasty kebabs, washed down with some Turkish wine or raki, the traditional aniseed spirit. If you wish to try the local specialties , be aware that  Turkish cuisine is the Turkish House in Turunc Road where the food is served up to the tune of traditional music. For high-quality steaks a favourite is the Love Boat at the Devamli Hotel that you must definately try . For variety the menu at the Majestic Restaurant is a mix of Chinese, Indian and Italian. On Sundays the Kingsland Chinese Restaurant above the undercover market surprisingly serves up a top British lunch. Also try the Venice Restaurant on the canal for good food and entertainment, that will not disappoint you . Also be aware that in Marmaris, there is a spectacular marina with quality restaurants fronting it. Try the Pineapple restaurant for something special or if you prefer a more informal setting try upstairs, the English Pub, a traditional English pub serving quality food and drinks, overlooking the spectacular Netsel Marina
 
Nightlife
 Icmeler is not a clubbing resort, but  you may find a variety of pubs  of pubs, which  will keep you entertained until the first morning hours. The nightlife may  not be the thing for which Icmeler is famous for , but those of wishing to have even more choices regarding your night entertainment you can always visit  Marmaris, where the pace is hotter. Icmeler's only true nightclub, Abone, provides for those who enjoy a dance, and some of the bars have discos, karaoke and live shows.

Beaches
 Having a magnificent beach, Icmeler is mainly a sun, sea and sand holiday destination, and a wide variety of watersports are on offer at the resort hotels and along the sea front. Be prepared to enjoy the crystal clear blue waters and relax to the most organised beaches of the area.
